Most saffron is sold on a place-name. We sell on a grade — and we publish the paperwork that proves it, harvest lot by harvest lot.
Who we are
Pure Red Gold is a saffron maison. We buy, grade, pack and sell Super Negin saffron — threads and powder — together with a short list of things saffron belongs in: an extract made only for us, saffron-and-pistachio sweets, roasted nuts, and a herbal tea line under production.
The house was built around one problem. Saffron is the most adulterated spice in the world, and almost nothing on a shelf lets a buyer check what they are holding. So we made checking the product: clear glass instead of foil, the grade named on the label instead of the word "premium", the harvest year printed rather than implied, and a water-test card in the box so the trade's own fraud test can be run on a kitchen counter.
We are deliberately not a single-origin brand. Each harvest we select lots that clear ISO 3632 Category I wherever they were grown, and each lot's true origin is disclosed on its certificate rather than dressed up in marketing.

Category I, or it is not ours
ISO 3632 Category I is the house selection standard. A lot that does not clear it is not bottled, whatever it cost us.

No number without a document
No crocin figure, no lab claim and no award appears anywhere until the report that contains it is published on the traceability page.

The grade, never the map
We headline what a laboratory can verify. Each lot's origin is disclosed on its certificate, where it can be checked rather than admired.

Teach the test
Every box carries a water-test card with spare threads. A customer who can test saffron is a customer we have to keep earning.
